A letter of introduction

Dear Samantha,
        You must know yourself pretty by now, or at least you think you do. I'm writing you this letter to say hello, and I hope you find more about yourself, even just a little bit.
        You have a darling brother who you hardly talk to, and a dad who isn't quite your dad, but you love him for it anyway. You have a mum who thinks she is a teenager, and you think you are more mature than her. You also have a sister, who you don't talk to, she's married. You two didn't really get along as kids, and now you're both adults (or close to); nothing's changed like you thought it would. You missed out on being that little sister everyone wants.
        You try to keep in contact with your real dad, but things don't go too well with your mum. She doesn't think it's a good idea. Your dad's partner is like the second mum you never got. You'd give the world to be part of your little half sisters lives, being able to see them grow up would be such a pleasure.
        Your hobbies include playing guitar and singing, but you honestly don't think you can do either of them very well. You take lessons to help with the guitar, but keep your singing skills locked away. They aren't to be shown in public.
        You see music as a way of getting out of life. Every song stands for something in your life, either events or people. Whenever you are upset, or angry, you blast music to keep from overreacting; you don't like to draw attention to yourself.
        Your book collection has many old and new favourites. You feel so connected to a single story; you'll read it over and over until it feels real. You cry when they do, you feel their pain. Sometimes it gets too much for you to bear, and you throw the book down, sobbing into your pillow. Sometimes you wish you were in the book. Their life is always easier.
        You have many desires in life, but don't have the confidence to pull it off. Maybe one day you'll finally have the confidence to stand up for yourself. One day you want to be a teacher, so you can teach the next generation of kids' things you didn't learn. Your teaching style is going to be unique; at least you want it to be.
        You have a pretty face, but not a pretty body to go with it. You've always struggled with your weight. It's just a part of life.
        Along with your family, your friends mean everything to you. From your boyfriend who, after almost 2 years, you are still crazy about, to friends over the internet, who you have never met, and yet they influence your life completely, you feel over protective of. If anything would happen to these people, your life would change from bad to worse.
        Goodbye for now, but I hope you take this letter to heart, and hope you reply. Remember the little things in life.
