Life in all it's glory

You're a splitting image,
Of the girl I can never be,
You're everything I wish to be,
But wishes only come true in fairy tales.

I could never be friends with you,
We're much too different.
Maybe in another lifetime,
When the roles are reversed.

Until then we'll go our separate ways,
Playing the roles we're given.
Life has a sense of humour,
I'll never fully understand.
